We’ve got a PPC roundup packed with great resources for you this week, the first of which focus on link building. Our twitter feed was abuzz with link building info this week so we didn’t want to let these link building tips and tools slip away without some recognition.

Search Engine Land rounded out their four part series on link building with Debra Mastaler’s post: A Campaign Prep Checklist for Link Builders. This is a must-read for anyone who’s done some research, feels ready to dive into their link building strategy but feels a bit overwhelmed about where to start.

Want an enormous collection of link building tips and tools at your fingertips all at once? We’ve got you covered! KISSmetrics has published a post including 79 link building resources! If that’s not enough for you, Search Engine Watch has 30 more link building tools PLUS a link to 50 more within their article! By the time you’re done reading, you’ll have a full link building arsenal.

In addition to link building, we found some other great posts on an assortment of PPC topics this week that we’d love to share with you.

Let’s start with one of the first steps in your PPC process — keyword research. Ian Lurie gives us another great post packed with helpful info about doing keyword research that doesn’t suck.

While we’re on the subject of keywords, Elisa Gabbert at WordStream helps us to understand the difference between a keyword and a search query, and PPCHero’s Bethany Bey (who was gracious enough to grant us a PPC expert interview about writing ad text earlier this week!) shares the effects of modified broad match keywords. For more about writing ad text, Microsoft Advertising’s Faith Szafranski shares the second half of her 10 tips for writing successful PPC ads in her latest post.

Once you write your ads, you have to know how to optimize them, and Get Found First gives you a little help with their post How to Optimize Google PPC Ads. Making video ads instead? Jim Louderback of Ad Age will help you avoid 3 deadly video ad pit falls.

And of course, once you’ve optimized your ads, you want to see them convert. What traffic source has the best conversion rate? Cynthia Boris from Marketing Pilgrim has some insight. Search Engine Watch can also help out  with their post Conversion Optimization: Top 5 Places to Start.

That’ s all for this week’s PPC roundup. We hope this arms you with some great resources to jump into link building as well as strengthening your PPC ads!
